Translation into French
An experienced French translator - Translation from English into French in Earth sciences
You might be looking for a translator to support the efforts made toward French-speaking tourists in your Geopark. Proposing the educational brochures and maps, Website and other communication supports in French would widden the audience and promote your Geopark overseas.
French native speaker with an excellent knowledge in Geoscience and Geoparcs, my translation work is precise and fast. I have also be trained to typographical syntax and often do proofreading work for the French science publishing houses (general public); which ensures you an accurate text in French.
I have outlined my career to date here, but would like to highlight that I have been working at the UNESCO Headquarter in the Earth Sciences and Geo-Hazards Risk Reduction Section a few years ago. Since then, as a freelance and was, among others:
- in charge of English->French translations of several UNESCO documents in geosciences (IGGP statutes and guidelines; 115 UNESCO Global Geoparks leaflets; UNESCO Global Geoparks Council report);
- of the translation from French into English of the Causses du Quercy Geopark candidate’s application dossier to UNESCO Global Geoparks;
- of the translation from French into English of the Armorique Geopark candidate application’s dossier to UNESCO Global Geoparks;
- and more recently, of the European Atlantic Geotourism Route application's dossier to the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (English).
